On 16 October 2025, ChefLifestyle will host the Cook & Share Community Kitchen at Hopeland Training Centre in Accra, bringing together street children for a day of cooking, learning, and connection. This World Food Day event focuses on teaching lasting skills and empowerment rather than providing one-time aid.
Teaching Skills Beyond Charity
The Cook & Share Community Kitchen, organised by Ghanaian food blogger Bibiana Gyasi, focuses on equipping vulnerable children with practical skills in cooking, teamwork, and healthy living. Unlike typical “cook and donate” events, this project invests in long-term empowerment.
Bibiana Gyasi, founder of Cheflifestyle, explained the goal:
“Instead of simply cooking for the children, I want to teach them how to cook, giving them not just food for a day, but a skill and experience they will carry for a lifetime. Food is more than nourishment; it can be dignity, empowerment, and hope.”
ChefLifestyle’s Cook & Share Community Kitchen supports this year’s World Food Day theme, “Hand in Hand for Better Foods and a Better Future,” by uniting street children and partners to build skills and create sustainable food knowledge for a brighter future.
